We are thrilled to share that 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐧 of the #IndianArmy has been honored with the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 2023.

Deployed to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) from March 2023 to April 2024, 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧 has exemplified unparalleled dedication and leadership.

As the Engagement Team Commander of the Indian Rapidly Deployed Battalion, Major Sen led a dynamic team of 20 women and 10 men soldiers, addressing security concerns and advocating for the rights of women, girls, and children in conflict zones.

Her initiatives on 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 have empowered local communities, fostering self-reliance and trust.

Major Sen’s achievements are a testament to her commitment, supported by her dedicated team, the Indian Army, and her family. Her journey from Sunder Nagar, Himachal Pradesh, to international recognition is an inspiration to us all.
