It was a great learning experience to participate in a conclave to discuss Climate Change as a “Driver of Conflict in South East Asia” held in Bangkok.
While climate change and its effects are well known, the conclave attempted to map how climate change may drive loss of livelihood, resource availability and migration thus leading to conflict both internally and externally.
I was privileged to interact with experts on climate change, leaders of Disaster Preparedness Centers and a host of military veterans from various nations.
Brig Ian Rigden (Retd) of HD Centre steered the conclave expertly.
