Today marks a significant day in history – the signing of the Indo-Sri Lanka Peace Accord in Colombo on 29 July 1987, between Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Sri Lankan President J. R. Jayewardene. This accord was a pivotal moment that aimed to bring peace to the island nation, leading to the initiation of Operation Pawan which was a crucial military operation undertaken by the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka.

To commemorate this day, It’s my pride and pleasure to my exclusive interviews with the veterans of the operations in Sri Lanka. These interviews provide deep insights and firsthand accounts of the challenges and experiences faced during Operation Pawan.
