BRIGADIER (DR) VIJAY SAGAR DHEMAN

GENERAL
Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman, popularly known as Scholar Warrior, is a retired Army Veteran who retired as Additional Director General NCC. He was head of NCC in seven states in North Eastern Region of India. Thereafter, he took over as Dean Management Department and I/c Vice Chancellor of GK University in Punjab. He also had tenure with the Central University Jammu as an Adjunct Faculty in NSS Deptt.

QUALIFICATIONS
Despite all possible competitive qualifications in Army, Brigadier Dr Vijay Sagar Dheman has been awarded Doctorates twice by JNU and University of Rajasthan , MSc in Defence and Strategic Studies by Madras University, PGDIT by NIELIT New Delhi, MBA by IGNOU, Certificate courses in Human Rights by ICRC UNO, Media Management by Indian Institute of Mass Communication New Delhi and Logistics Management by Devi Ahiliyabai University Indore.

SERVICE IN THE ARMY
Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman has had an illustrious career in the Armed Forces for more than 38 years. During the sojourn, he served in all possible places like High Altitude, Counter Insurgency, Deserts and North Eastern regions on Pakistan and China Borders. He has headed counter insurgency grid in South Kashmir and Line of Control in Tangdhar Sector thrice. He was appointed member for national level projects ordered by MoD for integration of the radar systems and the missile systems in the national war grid.

Brigadier Dr Vijay Sagar Dheman He has also distinguished himself during his tenure with UNITED NATIONS MILITARY OBSERVER GROUP IN INDIA AND PAKISTAN (UNMOGIP) based at Gupkar Road Srinagar.

Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman is an accredited Life and Transformational Coach from International Coaching Federation USA. He is a certified Corporate Coach. He holds certification of being a Professional Master Practitioner for Neuro Linguistic Programming .This is how he trains candidates for Service Selection Boaard (SSB) for joining the Armed Forces. He is also certificated Career Counselor from ‘Harrison Counseling Assessments’ from Hong Kong.

JOURNALISTIC/ANALYSTIC ASSIGNMENTS
Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman is an International Affairs Analyst and a reputed Defence Expert. He is an author, a regular contributor to newspapers and journals. He is a prime time TV commentator on National News Channels. He is a life member and resource person for international think tanks like United Service Institution (USI) of India, MP Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis (MPIDSA), Delhi Policy Group (DPG) and many others. He also is the Managing Director of INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF J&K STUDIES AND ANALYSES (IIJSA) JAMMU- the only think tank of J&K with participation of National and International analysts and contributors.

SOFT SKILLS CAMPAIGNER FOR YOUTH
Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman is a social activist promoting the cause of Youth in India. He is actively campaigning for promoting ‘Soft Skills’ amongst Youth. There is no provision of teaching Soft Skills in the curriculum in schools and colleges. Without the knowledge of soft skills i.e Confidence Building Measures, Goal Setting, Time Management, Stress Management and other psychometric skills etc, the majority of the Youth of our nation are unable to give their optimum potential for nation building. Today, he is telling us about the basics of Communication Skills in which he will be teaching basic techniques of facing an interview board.
AWARDS

Brigadier (Dr) Vijay Sagar Dheman has been conferred with many awards. He has been awarded General Officer Commanding –in–Chief commendations twice for distinguished contribution to operations. He is also recipient of Pt Prem Nath Bhatt Memorial Award for Amateur Social Journalist 2022. He is also a recipient of United Nations Citations for Exceptional Achievement during his tenure in United Nations.
